Revival Spirulina is artisanal

It is very important that you consume ARTISAN SPIRULINA, spirulina REVIVAL . If you've ever tried it and didn't like it, it's probably because it was of industrial origin. Our artisanal spirulina is very different. It tastes like nuts and is crunchy! You should know that 95% of the spirulina that we see on the shelves of health food stores and supermarkets is manufactured industrially in Asian countries and quality controls are insufficient compared to European standards.

As producers committed to sustainability and strict with quality and food safety, we want you to understand the main differences in the industrial and artisanal cultivation of spirulina .

And we bring you our artisanal production through small videos in an exercise of transparency so that you know where it comes from and how we make your spirulina. Although the best thing is that you come visit us and experience it in person.

  • Industrial

    1. It is grown in large ponds outdoors, coexisting with any animal that falls into them (insects, rodents, birds, etc...).
    2. Dehydrated at 180°C which causes the pigments , vitamins and antioxidants to burn and volatilize.
    3. Bitter taste and fishy smell due to oxidation during drying.
    4. Form of pills , capsules or insoluble powder .
    5. It is not 100% spirulina, it is common to find binders and additives in the pills.
    6. 90% is grown in China and India, countries with insufficient health controls and poor water quality .
  • Artisan - Revival Spirulina

    1. It is grown in small ponds protected by greenhouses with water from the Sierra de las Nieves National Park .
    2. After harvesting, it is dehydrated at a low temperature (<40°C) to preserve all its properties.
    3. Nutty flavor due to the quality of the water and the gentle harvesting and dehydration.
    4. We shape it into crispy strands by hand.
    5. 100% pure spirulina, without dyes, pesticides, preservatives, binders or additives.
    6. Sustainable cultivation with the environment and produced in Spain under strict European quality laboratory analysis.
